VHF/VSAT CON SON PROJECT

Supply, installation, integration and putting into operation the VHF/VSAT communication and data transmission system at VHF/VSAT Con Son located on Thanh Gia mountain, Con Dao to supply air traffic control service for Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore (CAAS)

Customer: Air Traffic Technical Company Ltd (ATTECH) Air Traffic Technical Company (ATTECH) has invested VHF/VSAT air traffic management station, in which Dicom Technology Company is prime contractor supplying and installing the whole system. VHF/VSAT Con Son station uses ground to air and remote control system of Jotron – Norway, one of top manufacturers of the world in the field of VHF communication. Jotron has successfully supplied many air traffic systems in Vietnam, and all of these systems have been put into operation successfully in Vietnam in August, 2013. VSAT system is manufactured by Comtech, a famous and reliable manufacturer in US.

VHF A/G transmitter/receiver includes 4 single transmitter systems, at the same time work on 2 different frequency levels. VHF A/G receiver system includes 4 single receiver systems, at the same time work on 2 different frequency levels. Straight coverage to Singapore air control area is 250NM at minimum 26,000 feet and 290NM at minimum 38,000 feet, towards aircrafts equipped with radio transceiver pursuant to ICAO standards. This system uses equipment manufactured by Jotron – Norway, one of the most famous manufacturer of the world in the field of VHF communication equipment.

VSAT system: include 2 single ground VSAT systems, work independently at the same time, using 2 different satellite to transmit ADS-B data and VHF communication data from Con Son station to Singapore station. This system is manufactured by Comtech – USA.

Remote control system: All VHF A/G, VSAT systems are supervised via SNMP protocol.

These systems are able to provide 24x7x365 service. That means except for natural calamity, these systems can work continuously without discontinuation, downtime is minimized. All systems have nothing in common, all equipment, links, connections have backup. If any equipment have problem, all other systems still operate normally. The systems are of high reliability and easy to maintain and upgrade.
